Can I increase the rent on my Edinburgh flat?
In Scotland, rent increases for Private Residential Tenancies are governed by Section 22 of the Private Housing (Tenancies) (Scotland) Act 2016. You must give your tenant at least three months’ written notice using the prescribed form. The increase can only take effect on a rent-increase date, and no more than once every 12 months.
